Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, skin resurfacing procedure that gently exfoliates or
polishes away the top layer of dead skin cells, while stimulating collagen growth, to reveal
healthy new skin that looks and feels smoother. Fine lines, blemishes, dull skin and sun spots
can be improved, especially with regular treatments. Products such as active serums and moisturizers
are more easily absorbed and therefore more effective after microdermabrasion treatment. This is a
painless, low-risk skin treatment that can enhance your beauty routine.
It is safe to have weekly treatments or you may choose to start with weekly sessions prior to
maintaining monthly treatments to keep your skin looking and feeling amazing.
Combining Microdermabrasion with no-needle mesotherapy is the ultimate treat for your skin,
and if you choose our platinum package you can get the added benefit of LED light therapy.

Mesotherapy is a technique that stimulates the skin tissues by using superficial injections of ingredients found
naturally in the skin such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and co-enzymes. However, if, for any reason,
you want the benefits of this treatment without the discomfort or risk associated with multiple injections into
your face, there is a viable alternative.
Here at Kalista we can offer you the no needle alternative. Electroporation is created using a device which utilizes a
low frequency current and ultrasound. The intensity is adjusted to deliver a particular waveform which ionizes the
molecules in the active ingredients used in the treatments, and this creates small channels in the skin for the
ingredients to fully penetrate.
This treatment aids several different skin conditions, and all skin types can benefit. There is no downtime or unwanted
side effects and can be performed weekly.
It is highly recommended that you combine this treatment with the microdermabrasion to enable optimal penetration and
maximum benefit. However, a home exfoliation is a reasonable alternative prior to your appointment.
Following an assessment of your skin we will select one of the following power solutions from the Genosys range:

Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenating procedure where an automated pen device with a cartridge
of 16 tiny sterile needles is used to create tiny puncture wounds in the superficial layers
of the skin. This causes the release of growth factors which, in turn, stimulates the fibroblasts
to create new collagen and elastin as part of the natural healing process. You might also hear it
called collagen induction therapy.
Here at Kalista, we select a power solution from one of the 5 from our Genosys range and apply
to the skin prior to the procedure.
The microchannels formed allow the active ingredients to be absorbed into the skin layers much more efficiently.
Microneedling may help with issues like:
Light Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy is the application of light energy to tissue to obtain
therapeutic benefits. The energy is used to improve cellular performance.
Phototherapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and
has a variety of applications across many medical fields. Research has shown that
phototherapy can: increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria,
decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, reduce and ease muscle
and joint pain, stiffness, spasm and arthritis.
We offer LED light therapy as an enhancement on some of our treatments.
We can add LED therapy to any of our facial treatments, and the programme can be set to address
your specific skin concerns.
Blue, red and near-infrared are the most commonly used wavelengths in LED phototherapy. These
specific wavelengths are well researched and scientifically proven to produce therapeutic benefits.
Blue penetrates through the epidermis and is known to kill P.acnes bacteria.
Red penetrates into the dermal layer and has been shown to enhance collagen and elastin production
through photo-biostimulation of fibroblasts.
Using LED after any of our anti-aging treatment facials will enhance the effects, especially when
combined with a course of treatments such as Microneedling or microdermabrasion with no needle mesotherapy.
Go ahead and treat yourself to this lovely feel good therapy. You will come away feeling revitalised
and relaxed, and your skin will glow with gratitude.
Chemical Skin Peels harness the power of naturally occurring acids and active ingredients to deeply exfoliate and
brighten the skin.
The treatment stimulates new cell growth and collagen production, helping to reveal fresher, clearer, brighter skin.
Peels are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to renew itself by creating fresh new skin cells. They also
stimulate the skin's natural collagen production to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Skin peel treatments use acids and enzymes to exfoliate away layers of the skin to reveal fresher, clearer, more youthful
looking skin beneath the surface.
The powerful blend of ingredients in skin peels work to reduce the appearance of open pores, remove dead skin cells,
target blemishes, acne and pigmentation, and visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
Here at Kalista in Fordingbridge we offer three different skin peels. The skin renewal system is a very mild
peel made up of a
combination of naturally occurring acids and is offered with a lovely peptide mask to complete the treatment.
This is a great starting point for those who are new to skin peels.
The Glycolic 40% peel is a little stronger but is buffered with arnica and chamomile which makes it very
easy to tolerate. This is the one we recommend for treating acne, as well as fine lines and wrinkles.
The third option is specifically for the treatment and management of hyperpigmentation and melasma, and the
best results are achieved with our 6 week programme combining it with two Microneedling treatments.
If you are looking to improve the appearance of your skin and kick start your pledge to really step up your
skin care, then Peels are a great way to begin.
Try alternating this with Microneedling to really see a difference in the appearance of your skin. Both
your epidermis (outer layer) and dermis (deeper layer) will be well catered for.
This is a mild chemical skin peeling treatment for treating fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring,
uneven skin tone and texture. A peel is applied to remove the dead skin cells on the surface of
your skin and stimulate the renewal of new cells.
If you want a quick facial treatment to freshen the appearance of your skin - this is the one.
It can also be applied prior to Microneedling for maximum rejuvenation.
The treatment takes just 40 minutes - £45
The Glycolic 40% Facial Peel is safe, effective, and non-irritating, but it is a step up from the
SRS peel above and requires a certified practitioner to apply.
There are many grades of facial peel, some require recuperation as the outer layer visibly peels over
several days and can be quite painful. This Peel is superficial in comparison, and whilst you will
need to take special care of your skin, there is no real 'down' time and make-up can be worn 24 hours later.
It is designed to remove the build-up of dead cells that cause a dull complexion and blocked pores.
This will leave you with a lovely clean canvas that will readily absorb your active serums and moisturisers
giving you more skin benefits from your homecare routine. Your skin will look and feel beautifully smooth,
and you will be left with a healthy glow.
This peel can be applied over skin with active acne to help relieve blocked pores and treat the acne bacteria.
Combine this with LED blue and red light therapy to manage an acne flare up and reduce the associated inflammation.
Problem Control Serum (PCS) and Cream are also available for homecare treatment.
We recommend a weekly peel for 4 weeks for anyone starting out with facial treatments. They can then be
maintained monthly and combined with collagen induction facials such as Microneedling or No-needle Mesotherapy
(but not on the same day).
Peels can then be done fortnightly or monthly for maintenance.
Hyperpigmentation occurs when the skin produces more melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour.
This can make spots or patches of skin appear darker than surrounding areas.
Hyperpigmentation is a common skin condition. It affects people of all skin types.
Some forms of hyperpigmentation, including melasma and sunspots, are more likely to affect areas of
skin that face sun exposure, including the face, arms, and legs. It can also be triggered by hormone
influences such as pregnancy or during the menopause and is considered to be one of the unwanted signs of ageing.
Other types of hyperpigmentation form after an injury or skin inflammation such as cuts, burns, acne,
or lupus. These can occur anywhere on the body and is called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Here at Kalista we have teamed up with Genosys to bring you the Snow Cell Brightening skin peel aimed
specifically at treating and correcting hyperpigmentation. It is an innovative, safe, peeling, and
rejuvenating program which improves hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production and exfoliating dead surface cells.
The protocol is a weekly programme over 6 weeks and incorporates 2 micro needling treatments on weeks
1 and 5 plus the weekly Snow Cell peel. No needle mesotherapy can replace the micro needling, if preferred.
